Romanian, German and Hungarian communities co-exist under the same roof, in the name of culture and the cultural cohesion

bearing the strong interbellum imprint of the architect Duiliu Marcu, the large concert room lives its own existence embeded in the harmony of the spatial proportions created by Fellner & Helmer at the end of the 19th century

when the theatre is more than a workplace, even the technical spaces in the ‘belly’ of the building bear signs of appropriation; a quiet, discrete world, complementary to the show above
